In our hatchery, baby oysters are nourished two to three times daily with carefully cultured microalgae, ensuring balanced nutrition and healthy growth. Over two weeks, the larvae develop under close monitoring until a tiny “eye spot” appears — a sign that they are ready to settle and begin forming their first shells.

Once the larvae are ready to settle, they are introduced into tanks fitted with collectors.
After attachment, the young oysters grow until they reach about 1.5 mm in size.
They are then moved from the hatchery to the ocean in protective predator bags.
In open waters, the oysters are regularly sorted and spaced to ensure healthy growth and balanced access to food.

Nucleation is a delicate surgical process in which a small bead made from mussel shell is carefully placed into the oyster’s gonad. A fragment of mantle tissue from a donor oyster is then added beside it to form a pearl sac, stimulating the secretion of nacre — the radiant substance that gives each pearl its natural luster.

Once nucleated, the oysters are placed back into the ocean within protective panels, where the delicate process of pearl formation begins. A pearl sac soon develops, secreting layers of nacre that slowly envelop the nucleus — creating the luminous iridescence that defines every true pearl.

Throughout a meticulous two-year growth period, each oyster is carefully cleaned, inspected, and nurtured by skilled technicians to ensure optimal health and luster development. Six months after nucleation, X-rays confirm the success of pearl formation, with only the strongest oysters continuing their journey beneath the sea. Regular care and maintenance safeguard their vitality—allowing nature and time to craft pearls of enduring beauty.

After approximately 24 months of growth, skilled technicians gently harvest the pearls with utmost care. When a pearl is of exceptional quality and the pearl sac remains intact, the oyster may be reseeded to begin forming another gem. If the pearl does not meet the desired standard, the oyster is respectfully utilized for its prized pearl meat and its radiant mother-of-pearl shell — both treasured natural gifts.
